An Update on Ryan
The past six months have been full of hard work for Ryan and his family. Ryan’s outlook on life continues to improve with each day. His friends and family are very thankful for all of the hard work and sacrifices the community has made for them. The Ryan C. Major Foundation would like to thank the entire Baltimore and DC communities for everything they have done for the Major Family. Your donations and gifts have helped Ryan along this difficult journey.
Ryan has begun to work with one prosthetic leg on his left side. Ryan is determined to get up and start walking as soon as possible no matter how painful and strenuous it is. His daily therapy sessions are paying off though, as he starts to rebuild muscle in his arms again. It’s amazing to see how far he has come in the past six months.
Construction is still underway at the Major household. An elevator has been built in his home so he can travel wherever he would like. The family’s living room has been turned into Ryan’s room, equipped with a large bathroom accessible for Ryan. All construction has been donated by various companies, and has all been paid for by Sears Holdings Corporation. We would like to thank the Wounded Warrior Project and Ed Salau for all the hard work and time you spent helping the Major Family. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Finally we would like to thank a couple sports teams for their generous gifts. They have definitely helped lift Ryan’s spirits.
Special thanks to: The Baltimore Ravens and Ed Reed, the Miami Heat, the New Orleans Saints, the Green Bay Packers, and the Washington Wizards.
THANKS AGAIN,
Jennifer Feeney and Corey Fick
